Online consultation
Online pet consultation in Karachi and across Pakistan.
Rolling out gradually. Joining the list puts you in line for access.
How an online pet consultation works
Pick a veterinarian
Browse vets with their experience, reviews and consultation fee on the profile, so you know the cost before you book rather than after.
Book a time that suits you
Choose a slot and you are booked. No phone queue, no asking around, no waiting to hear back.
Talk to the vet by video
Tell the veterinarian directly what you have noticed: appetite, energy, toileting, behaviour. Show them on camera. A short video recorded earlier helps, since limping or coughing rarely happens on cue.
Get a clear next step
Guidance you can act on, and a straight answer about whether your pet needs to be examined in person.
Every veterinarian is checked against the PVMC register
In our survey of Pakistani pet owners, finding a trusted vet was the single most common problem, named by 59%, ahead of cost. So before a veterinarian appears on Vetline, we confirm they are registered with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council. Their experience, reviews and consultation fee are on their profile.
When online works, and when it does not
Good fit for a consultation
- You are unsure whether a symptom needs a clinic visit tonight or can wait
- A follow-up after treatment, to check progress
- Diet, weight, parasite prevention and general care questions
- Behaviour changes you cannot easily interpret
- A second opinion on advice you have already had
- New puppy or kitten questions, including vaccination timing
Go to a clinic immediately
- Difficulty breathing, choking, or open-mouth breathing in a cat
- Suspected poisoning, or something swallowed that should not have been
- A road accident, a fall, or any significant trauma
- Repeated straining to urinate with little result, especially a male cat
- A distended or hard abdomen, or unproductive retching
- Seizures, collapse, or unresponsiveness
- Heavy bleeding, or a deep wound
- Difficulty giving birth
An online consultation cannot examine your animal, run bloodwork or take an X-ray. For an emergency, go straight to a clinic or emergency service.
The consultation is one part of it
A consultation is more useful when the history is already there. The Vetline app keeps your pet's records, tracks vaccinations and lists nearby clinics, so each conversation starts from something rather than nothing.

Common questions
Can I consult a vet online in Karachi?
Yes. Vetline offers scheduled video consultations with veterinarians registered with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council. You book a slot in the app and speak to the vet from home. Access is rolling out through our waiting list.
How much does an online pet consultation cost in Pakistan?
Fees are set by each veterinarian and shown on their profile before you book, so there is no surprise at the end. We do not publish a single flat price because it would not be true of every vet on the platform.
Is an online consultation as good as going to a clinic?
It is different, not lesser. For questions, guidance and follow-ups it is often better, because you get professional input without the stress and delay of a journey. For anything requiring a physical examination, imaging or bloodwork, a clinic visit is necessary and the vet will tell you so.
Which animals can I get a consultation for?
Dogs and cats are what the service covers today. Livestock health management is a direction we are actively building toward.
How do you verify the veterinarians?
We check that a veterinarian is registered with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council before they are listed. Their experience and fee appear on their profile.
Do you serve cities outside Karachi?
Online consultations work anywhere in Pakistan with a usable internet connection. Our clinic listings are strongest in Karachi and expanding.
